Welcome
Hi, I'm Ann Petersen, often listed as Ann L. Petersen and I
welcome you to the website of a self-confessed obsessive quilter. I have been quilting, on and off for most of my adult life but it has become my favorite pastime and occupation. I enjoy playing with design, color and texture in quilting and often enter quilt shows to test my skills. If I have a recognizable style it would be quilts which are heavily pieced, play with color shifts across the surface of a quilt, and are heavily quilted. Please enjoy my gallery, take a look and feel free to contact me for more information.
Thank you!
You can follow me on Facebook at Obsessive Quilter-Ann L. Petersen

I have 5 classes on Craftsy, which you can purchase to watch on-line at your convenience for the future. Or you can get a monthly (or more) subscription and watch classes that way. My classes are:
Small Machine,Big Quilts, Better Results:
This is a newer, improved version of Quilting Big Quilts on a Small Machine with video of sandwiching a large quilt, a block-by-block method that uses no sashing and advise on quilting a quilt with all over designs and contemporary styles.
Check it out!
Playing With Curves
A piecing class showing you how to piece traditional curves using a large Drunkard's Path block. Plus Paper Pieced Curves using freezer paper templates, and free form curves to make a modern quilt. This purchased class includes patterns.
Beyond Basic Machine Quilting
This is a free motion quilting class for those who know just the basics and want to play with more designs. The class sample is a sampler of stitches and includes how to draw and quilt your own feathers in several different ways.
Quilting a Big Quilt on a Small Machine
This is a class taking you through handling a large quilt as a whole. It also includes methods for splitting the quilt into 1/3 or less and quilting each section and how to assemble it, how to divide the batting or how to make a quilt by quilting block by block or a medallion sale.
Thank you!
